Be the love you are seeking
Be the Love You Are Seeking
Happy (almost) Valentine’s Day! Whether you're celebrating with a partner, friends, or just enjoying your own company, this season is the perfect reminder that love starts from within. Instead of only looking for love outside of yourself, what if you took this time to be the love you are seeking? The way you care for yourself, speak to yourself, and show up for yourself matters—because the relationship you have with you sets the foundation for all the love you welcome into your life.
We spend so much time searching for love—looking for the right person, the right moment, the right feeling. But what if the love you’re seeking isn’t outside of you? What if it’s already within you, waiting to be embraced?
Love isn’t just something we receive; it’s something we embody. When we start showing up for ourselves with the same kindness, patience, and appreciation we crave from others, we begin to attract relationships that mirror that love back to us.
Ways to Show Yourself Self-Love Through Self-Care
Nourish Your Body: Eat whole, nutrient-dense foods that make you feel energized and vibrant. Hydrate, stretch, and move in ways that bring you joy.
Feed Your Mind: Read books that inspire you, journal your thoughts, and listen to podcasts that uplift and motivate you.
Romanticize Your Life: Light a candle while you eat dinner, play your favorite music while getting ready, or buy yourself flowers just because.
Prioritize Rest & Relaxation: Take a long bath, get a massage, practice deep breathing, or simply allow yourself to rest without guilt.
Set Boundaries & Honor Your Needs: Saying “no” is an act of self-care. Protect your energy and make space for what truly nourishes your soul.
Spend Time in Nature: Go for a walk, sit in the sun, or simply breathe in the fresh air—it’s a simple yet powerful way to reconnect with yourself.
Celebrate Yourself: Acknowledge your wins, big or small. You are constantly growing, learning, and becoming—honor that journey.
Embody the Love You Wish to Receive
If you want love that is deep, unconditional, and fulfilling, start by giving it to yourself. Speak to yourself with kindness, treat yourself with care, and set the standard for how you deserve to be loved.
This Valentine’s season (and beyond), let’s shift the focus from searching for love to being love. Because when you start treating yourself the way you long to be treated, you’ll realize that the love you were looking for was within you all along.
With love,
Bri
