Happy New Year!

A new year means a new chance and a fresh start to reach your goals!

Ins and Outs for 2024-

Here are some of my ins and outs for 2024. Ins are the things I want to focus on in 2024, and outs are things I want to leave behind.

ins:

  • prioritize self-care

    • stay consistent with AM and PM skincare routines

    • spf everyday

    • monthly facials

  • a gallon of water a day

  • spending time in nature

  • saying no - protecting your peace

  • daily morning walks

  • reading

  • documenting your life - even if you don’t want to take pictures or videos at the moment, in a few years, you’ll wish you had them

  • travel

  • solo dates

outs:

  • impulsive purchases

  • mindless scrolling

  • fast fashion

  • blue light after 8 pm

  • always needing everything planned out

  • excessive sugar

  • going on your phone right when you wake up

  • cursing

  • comparing myself and my life to others

  • taking things personally

Take the time to reflect on your 2023 and make a list of your ins and outs. This exercise really helped me realize what’s important to me and what I want to change.

  1. Reflection on the Past Year:

    • What were the highlights of the past year?

    • What were the biggest challenges, and how did you overcome them?

    • What lessons did you learn in the past year?

    • What are you grateful for from the past year?

  2. Goal Setting:

    • What are your main goals for the new year? Personal, professional, and/or academic.

    • What steps can you take to achieve these goals?

    • How do you envision your life at the end of the new year?

  3. Self-Discovery:

    • What are your core values, and how do they align with your goals?

    • What activities or habits make you feel most fulfilled?

    • How do you want to grow and evolve as an individual in the coming year?

  4. Health and Wellness:

    • What are your health and fitness goals for the new year?

    • How will you prioritize self-care and well-being?

    • Do you want to cultivate or break any habits for a healthier lifestyle?

  5. Relationships:

    • Reflect on your relationships. Which ones are most important to you?

    • Are there any relationships you want to strengthen or improve?

    • How can you be a better friend, partner, or family member?

  6. Mindfulness and Gratitude:

    • How can you incorporate mindfulness into your daily life?

    • What are three things you're grateful for today?

    • How can you practice gratitude regularly?

  7. Creativity:

    • How do you plan to express your creativity in the new year?

    • Are there any artistic or creative projects you want to pursue?

    • How can you infuse more creativity into your daily life?

  8. Overcoming Obstacles:

    • Identify potential obstacles to your goals. How can you overcome them?

    • What strategies have helped you overcome challenges in the past?

  9. Bucket List:

    • Create a bucket list for the new year. What experiences do you want to have?

    • How can you make time for the things that bring you joy and fulfillment?

  10. Words to Live By:

    • Choose a word or phrase that will be your guiding principle for the new year.

    • Why did you choose this word, and how do you intend to embody it?
